So, What's With The Name?

During the hectic process of trying to completely furnish a new house from top to bottom, while dealing with shipping and supply chain issues, the owners were also trying to come up with a name for their luxury vacation rental. They were leaning on the railing of the deck overlooking the back of the property at just about sunset, when Brenda noticed some movement in the brush about midway down the hill.

 

All of a sudden a mamma-doe and a new-born, spindly-legged fawn stood up from the bushes. The fawn was so small, new and unsteady that they believe the fawn was standing and taking steps for the very first time (the owners were enjoying an adult beverage at the time, so some observational error may have taken place - but that’s their story and they are sticking with it). Anyhow, that’s how the house got the name Fawn Mountain Lodge.

 

Having the privilege to witness that birthing of new energy and life right in our backyard will always stick with us. We hope you’ll enjoy Fawn Mountain Lodge as much as we do and come back year after year!

 

More Details On The Home

The main level kitchen has a large quartz island with 4 swivel counter stools; the dining area - just off the kitchen is set for ten, an additional pull up leaf will seat 12.  The living room has a large sectional, a large leather ottoman to stretch your legs and two-barrel chairs on either side of the fireplace. Above the fireplace is a Samsung Frame 65” TV.  Plenty of seating for everyone. 

 

Outside you’ll find a large sectional with an additional two teak lounge chairs. Sit and enjoy family and friends around the wood burning fireplace with great long-range mountain views. The new grill comes with a convection oven/air fryer which you can make a pizza, bake cookies, or even air-fry some veggies! Around the corner of the deck, you’ll find an outdoor table that seats six.

There are three large primary bedrooms all with king beds, large en suite baths, with double sinks and walk-in closets. The new beds are high-end Purple or Nectar brands with fluffy new linens and Peacock Alley towels. Two of the en suite baths have huge walk-in showers with rain heads, six jets, plus a hand wand, the third has a tub for those that prefer a nice, long soak. Plus, the bunk room sleeps four kiddos and is off the game room.

 

The lower level is Fun Central!  You’ll have a hard time trying to figure out what you want to play first.  There is a pool table, a regulation length shuffleboard table (you can also bowl on it) and a dart board.  In the seating area in front of one of 4 fireplaces you can watch those playing pool, or set up a game of cards, monopoly, checkers or one of a dozen new games. Watch a game or movie on the 65” flat screen TV above the fireplace inside, or outside in the hot tub! Don't forget to save some time to roast marshmallows for s'mores and enjoy the outdoor fire pit.  It's only a short distance from the house and on a level area so the grandparents can enjoy the fire pit, too.
