THINGS TO SEE & DO
If you're just staying a few days at Fawn Mountain Lodge, you may want to simply stay put and relax with friends and family while soaking in the hot tub, or soaking up the scenery. But, if you're staying awhile longer, there's lots for the whole family in nearby Blue Ridge, just 20 minutes away. This is a popular spot if you're coming in Summer or Fall. So, you may want to plan out a couple days of activities and make some reservations ahead of time. Family Activities
Wow, so many things to do: adventure parks, ziplines, swimming, boating, hiking, fishing, golf, trail rides, arcades, art, music, spas, drive-in movies, shopping, and restaurants. There’s truly something for everyone in the family.
Ride The Train
Take the whole family on a nostalgic journey through the charming Appalachian foothills of North Georgia aboard the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway. Starting at the historic depot in downtown Blue Ridge.
Lake Blue Ridge
Lake Blue Ridge covers 3,300-acres of water and offers swimming, boats for rent, water skiing, fishing and more. The surrounding area also features, camping, hiking trails, swimming and a marina with a restaurant.
Hike The Trails
Both the famous Appalachian Trail and Benton MacKaye Trail start at the top of Springer Mountain. And, there are over 300 miles of hiking trails in the area, including short trails suitable for beginning hikers and families.
